Questions brands ask before booking a campaign shoot

We start with your brief, goals, and the channels you are shooting for, then build out the creative direction, shot list, and locations before anything is locked. By the time you show up on set, everything is already decided and there is nothing to figure out on the day.
Creative direction is included. If you have a brief we work from that, and if you know the feel you are going for but have not nailed down the specifics yet we build it out together. Either way the look and shot list are locked before we ever get on set.
Most productions include creative direction, shot planning, location scouting, campaign stills, and lifestyle photography, with video added when the brief calls for it. Final assets arrive organized and ready to hand directly to your media buyer or drop straight into your launch pages and social channels.
Los Angeles and San Diego, with brands across Southern California. Shoots happen on location, in studio, or across multiple spots depending on what the campaign calls for, and we travel for select projects outside California too — just mention it when you reach out.
Most campaigns are delivered within 7 to 10 business days after the shoot, and your delivery date is confirmed before production begins so you can plan launches and paid campaigns around it. Rush delivery is available for time-sensitive projects.
In-house content works fine for day-to-day social, but for paid campaigns, product launches, and anything running across multiple channels, the difference is creative direction, production experience, and a visual language that stays consistent across every asset. You get files your team can use immediately rather than content that needs three rounds of rework before it can run.

Chris Frara Studios is a brand campaign photographer and commercial director serving Los Angeles and San Diego. We produce full advertising campaigns for consumer brands across Southern California, from creative direction and location production through to final asset delivery. We come from the brand side, which means we understand what campaign content needs to achieve before we ever pick up a camera.
